These are the engines that move every year millions of foreign tourists to the beautiful country. And thanks to the presence of one of these powerful and effective poles of attraction, province of Como, which boasts one of the Lakes favoured by foreign vacationers, enters the title in the top ten of the Italian provinces that enjoy more of the beneficial influx of foreigners.
The survey, which analyzed the flow of foreign tourists into Italy, taking into account two years, 2008 and 2012, has also compiled the ranking of the ten provinces that attract the largest number of foreigners and that most other benefit from money spent by foreign tourists in hotels, restaurants, bars, shops and so on.
In both rankings Como stands out thanks to its Lake has indeed earned positions between 2008 and 2012, rising from 9° to 7° place regarding the number of foreign tourists who stay in our province.
The 2012 has been a record year in terms of foreign travelers ‘ spending, up from 644 million euro of 2008 to 655 million last year, after losing ground in 2009 (588 million) and especially in 2010 (525 million).
