Luxury real estate market in Milan: what developments for 2024?

04.03.2024
IThe luxury real estate market in Milan, after the strong expansion of 2022, is stabilising. During 2023, in fact, it suffered a slight decline, -6.2%, compared to last year and a total of 455 transactions, according to research conducted by real estate.it.
This is due to various factors, which also determine the increase in prices, such as the smaller quantity of houses available, the fact that the properties with the best characteristics - high floor, condominium services, presence of terraces and gardens - have already been purchased and the choice of some owners to rent them instead of selling them.

Penthouses and penthouses with terraces in period buildings of great charm have always remained the most requested typologies. At the same time, in recent years, with the boom in new buildings in the city, the demand for properties that offer a series of amenities that increase their attractiveness and value has increased. Furthermore, the ever-increasing sensitivity towards environmental issues has meant that highly energy efficient properties are increasingly in demand.
But what are the most popular areas or neighborhoods at the moment?
Customers are often looking for homes near green areas; therefore, the question is aimed at the areas around the main city parks such as Porta Venezia, Castello/Foro Bonaparte, Brera, City Life.
Among the challenges that the Milanese real estate market holds, there is certainly that of satisfying an increasingly demanding demand, both in search of the ideal property and in the services offered. The TargetHouse® team is the perfect ally to accompany you throughout the entire journey: from the initial research to the negotiation and sale phase, up to the renovation, if necessary.
