Kimi Raikkonen returns to Italy: purchased a villa and an apartment in the center of Como

25.10.2023
Kimi Raikkonen is a new citizen of Como. The 2007 F1 world champion, the last at the wheel of a Ferrari GP, has in fact decided some time ago to leave Switzerland to follow more closely his son Robin's first steps in karting. In this sense, the choice fell on northern Lombardy, a logistically perfect area for reaching the majority of international kart tracks in northern Italy. According to what was reported by the Province of Como, the Raikkonen family did not choose the shores of the lake, instead opting for the hinterland. Kimi would in fact have purchased the "Il Torchio" farmhouse, a luxurious estate complete with an adjoining park, which stands out over Como. The work to adapt the villa to the Raikkonen's needs would have already begun but, in the meantime, Kimi and Minttu, together with their three children Robin, Rianna and Grace, would also have purchased an apartment in the heart of the historic center of the Como area. In this way, the Finnish champion who turned 44 on October 17, will be able to closely follow the renovation of the farmhouse and, in the meantime, push the career of Robin, his 8-year-old son who recently started racing and winning on karting!! The Lonato del Garda track, the nerve center of world karting, is just over 150 km away.
